ODBC-ODBC Join Engine
The Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Join Engine allows multiple ODBC data sources to be accessed with a single SQL statement. It lets applications that support ODBC query, join, and modify data in different data sources as though the tables were in a single local data source.
To an application that supports ODBC, the ODBC-ODBC Join Engine is an ODBC 3.5 driver providing access to all the expected API calls and features. To a target ODBC driver, it is an application that makes ODBC conformant calls and expects a low conformance level of operation. The target driver does not have to conform to ODBC 3.5. The ODBC-ODBC Join Engine also supports ODBC 3.0, ODBC 2.5, and ODBC 2.0 drivers.
Unlike other products that function as a simple multiplexor, sending SQL statements to the target data source and expecting the targets to be able to process the data, the ODBC-ODBC Join Engine contains a full SQL parser, optimiser, and relational join engine.
This enables the ODBC-ODBC Join Engine to provide additional functionality to legacy ODBC drivers and to provide query optimisation between disparate data sources.
